Ingredients:

cups all-purpose flour2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup heavy cream2 tablespoons milk3/4 cup grated Cheddar cheese2 teaspoons minced
garlic (optional)1/4 teaspoons cracked black pepper
Directions:
Position rack in the center of the oven.
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Set aside and ungreased baking sheet.
In a large bowl blend together flours, baking powder, and salt. Mix
well.
In a
separate bowl whisk together milk, cream, cheese, garlic and black pepper. Add milk
mixture
all at once to flour mixture.
Stir until dry
ingredients are well moistened. The batter should be moist and sticky,
but not smooth.
Use
a teaspoon to form heaping scoops of biscuit batter. Use another spoon to scrape
the batter onto the baking sheet. Space the cheese biscuits about 1 1/2" apart.
Bake
in oven until biscuit bottoms are golden brown, about 12 minutes. Serve these tasty cheddar biscuits
hot.
