Cobb Salad Recipe

The way this Cobb Salad comes together is really darling... The great flavors and textures... Ummmm-Ummm Delicious!


♥  1 head Bibb lettuce, separated into leaves, washed, and dried
♥  1 large bunch watercress, tough stems trimmed, washed, dried, and coarsely chopped
♥  1 ripe avocado
♥  4 to 6 cups diced cooked chicken or turkey breast
♥  6 to 8 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
♥  3 hard-boiled eggs, diced
♥  3 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped
♥  1/4 cup finely snipped fresh chives
♥  1/4 cup crumbled Roquefort or other blue cheese


1 clove garlic, peeled
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2/3 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Roquefort or other blue cheese, crumbled
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions - Cobb Salad Recipe:

Line a platter with Bibb lettuce leaves. On top of the Bibb lettuce arrange, watercress, avocado, cooked chicken, crumbled bacon, diced boiled egg, chopped tomatoes, chives, and crumbled Roquefort.

To prepare the vinaigrette, mash together the garlic and salt until a paste is formed. Next, whisk red wine vinegar, lemon juice, crumbled Roquefort cheese, and salt and pepper to taste. In a slow and steady stream, whisking constantly add the olive oil.

To serve lightly drizzle vinaigrette over the salad. Place remaining vinaigrette in a covered container to pass separately at the table.

Recipe yields 4 - 6 servings of Cobb salad.
